STAYS 2022-2023 に参加した学生が執筆したSTAYS便りを掲載します。今回のSTAYS便りは、ピッツバーグから帰国する2週間前に執筆されたものです。

I have only two more weeks left before I return to Japan. I have been really enjoying my life in Pittsburgh.

I really like going to museums. As we can enter most of the museums around Pittsburgh with our student ID card, I visited a lot of museums. One of my favorite museums is The Andy Warhol Museum, which is the largest art museum in North America. This museum is located in Pittsburgh, Andy Warhol's hometown, and it holds a lot of his artworks. Because his artworks are so unique, I really had a great time. When I walked around the museum, I was able to know his way of thinking and how he saw things. It was so fun for me. I took a picture with my sunglasses in front of his portrait because I really wanted to do that when I saw otherpeople's blogs about this museum.

Another museum that I really liked is the Carnegie Science Center, which is located downtown in Pittsburgh. It's Pittsburgh's most visited museum. I saw many interactive exhibits and works about astronomy, planetarium, robots, and human body. There were so many children and parents, and they were studying science while playing on the playground equipment. I was so surprised at first when I entered the museum because most of the guests were kids, but I was able to enjoy playing and learning about science so much.

Pittsburgh has a lot of beautiful buildings. My favorite building is the Cathedral of Learning, which is located near the University of Pittsburgh. It's the second tallest academic building in the world, with 42 stories. It's used as classrooms for students who study at the University of Pittsburgh. This building is so cool, and it makes me feel like I'm at Hogwarts in Harry Potter. I really like this cathedral.

Also, I was able to enjoy seeing the really beautiful scenery around Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh has so many tall buildings and the view from the top is spectacular. I went up to the top by taking a vehicle called "Incline," which goes to the viewing platform so that I could see the night view better. I wasn't able to see the sunset because of the weather, but it was still so beautiful. The night view reminded me of my life in Pittsburgh.

Through our STAYS program, I was able to learn many things and make really great memories. I'd like to keep studying English and come back here again.
