Two months have passed since we came here. We are getting used to living in Vancouver, and we are really enjoying studying and joining in some events. There were some events in October. I'll introduce two events in ELI. The first event is playing ball hockey. We tried to play ball hockey, which is a famous sport in Canada. It was my first time to play ball hockey, but student assistants taught us how to play it. After that we enjoyed playing this game. It was a really good experience to learn more about traditional sports in Canada. The second event was a Halloween party. It was held on October 26th. Many students wearing Halloween costumes joined in the party. We showed our costumes to one another and ate some snacks, and after that we went to another party. We could feel the traditional Halloween atmosphere and had a great time with our friends. We are also looking forward to experiencing some more events next month. Enjoying parties and events let us gain wonderful cultural experiences, but we also have to improve our English through them. I hope these opportunities will help us improve our English.

バンクーバーに来て2カ月が経ちました。こちらの生活にもすっかり慣れ、勉強もイベントも楽しんでいます。10月もいくつかのイベントがありましたが、私が参加したEIL主催の2つのイベントについて紹介します。1つ目は、カナダで有名なスポーツの1つのボールホッケーの体験です。初めてのホッケーでしたが生徒アシスタントが実践的に教えてくれました。その後、実際にゲームを楽しみ、カナダの伝統的なスポーツに触れることができました。２つ目のイベントは、やはりハロウィーンパーティーです。ELIのイベントは１０月２６日の夜に開催されました。ハロウィーンの伝統的なコスチュームを纏い、お菓子や写真を楽しみました。その後、別のパーティに参加した生徒もいました。ここでも実際のハロウィーンの雰囲気を味わうことができ、とても素晴らしい時間を過ごすことができました。来月のイベントも楽しみですね。イベントを楽しむことも大切ですが、それらが私たちにとって留学の一番の目的である英語力の向上に繋がると良いです。
