～ ハワイ現地から2016HIBISCUS参加学生のレポートが届きました ～

Our group went to Sheraton Hotel in Waikiki. The hotel owner told a lot of good information and advice to us so I could learn about this hotel's many details! It was very impressive and a very good opportunity! The hotel's owner showed us around the hotel. We could see a nice view of Waikiki Beach from the 30th floor. It was very amazing. We walked around the refrigerator of 0 degree, asked questions to HR, asked at the office, asked to at the engineer room, etc... The hotel owner gave us very good advice and told us important things of the job. I learned that loving my job and building good relationships are very important. She said, "If you want to build good relationship, you have to communication with smile, have respect, put away your phone, help people anytime". She checks many social media (ex. Twitter, FaceBook) to build relationships with customers. Her advice is always smiling, don't be shy, talk, speak up about your idea. She said "If you study step by step, you can get a good career. This is the perfect time that women should stand top, now". I'll try following her advice.

私たちのグループは、企業訪問でワイキキのシェラトンホテルに行ってきました。ホテルのオーナーの方から多くの良い情報とアドバイスをうかがい、ホテルのことをかなり具体的に学ぶことが出来ました。とても感銘を受け、ホテルについて学ぶ良い機会となりました。 ホテル内の見学では、オーナーが私たちを案内してくれました。ホテルの３０階から見渡せるワイキキビーチは、素晴らしい眺めでした。０℃の冷蔵庫の中に入ったり、人事部、オフィス、エンジニアルームなどでお話も伺いました。 ホテル業について、オーナーが良いアドバイスと大切なことを教えてくれました。「もし良い人間関係を築きたいのなら、笑顔でコミュニケーションをとること、尊敬の心を持つこと、携帯電話をしまうこと、どんな時でも人を助けることが大事」など、自分の仕事を愛することと良い人間関係を築くことが大切だとオーナーから学ぶことができました。 彼女はお客様と良い関係を築くためにたくさんのSNSをチェックしています。彼女からのアドバイスは、いつも笑顔でいること、恥ずかしがらないこと、話すこと、自分の考えを発信することでした。「もしちゃんと段階を踏んで勉強すれば、良いキャリアを得ることが出来る。今の時代は女性がトップに立つ環境が整った時だ」という彼女のアドバイスに従ってみようと思いました。
