Inbound Tourism Seminar on Miyajima ~学科ゼミ
2016.11.30
The Miyajima Seminar to study the needs of Inbound Visitors to Hiroshima was a great success. Thirty-one students joined the seminar and regardless of their English ability, they all smiled and made eye-contact while speaking to many visitors from many different countries.
The students reported that they deeply appreciated the experience and also now better understand their communication limitations, so it motivated them to study English harder.
The students talked with more than 150 visitors who are visiting Japan for over a week, but only 1-2 days in Hiroshima.
Most visitors said they love the Japanese transportation system's punctuality as well as Japan's food, cleanliness and culture. In terms of difficulties, many visitors said that they have trouble with the lack of English signs and communication difficulties as well as WIFI access.
