国際観光ビジネス学科の2年生43名がハワイ留学を開始して3週間が経ちました。ハワイ大学マノア校での留学生活にも慣れてきた様子です。学生からレポートが届きましたので、ご紹介いたします。

Student Life at the University of Hawaii

2年1組　S.I

　

 Two weeks have passed since I came to Hawaii. Life in Hawaii is so special. Our classes start at 8:30 a.m. everyday. The first period is a writing class. I am studying how to write paragraphs. The second period is American Culture. I am learning the differences between America and Japan. There is one Korean student and one French student, so I can learn not only about American culture, but also about Korean and French culture. The third period is Listening & Speaking. In this class, I am learning new vocabulary, and how to discuss and to express my opinions. There are many discussions in the second and third class. I'm in the 300 class, so my classmates have a high level of English skills. I was so shocked by their English skills and I was so disappointed in myself because I can't speak English like them. However, they can stimulate me to study and improve my English skills. Also in discussion, I have to speak positively. I'm not good at doing that, so I'm making an effort now. After the third period, it's lunch time. Sometimes I have lunch with my Korean friend. I'm so happy and grateful to make a foreign friend and talk with her in English. After lunch, I have two classes every day. I have a business class and a tourism class. Also, I have internship seminars twice a week. I will join an internship program starting from next weekend, so I'm very excited now. On Fridays I only have MT, so I finish school at 10 a.m. Then, I go shopping in Ala Moana and go out to eat. There are many tourist spots in Hawaii, so I enjoy visiting there. During the past two weeks, I've felt that time goes slowly in Hawaii, but at the same time, I also feel that two weeks have passed so fast. There are three and a half months left in this program. I want to enjoy my study and life in Hawaii, and I'll do my best.
