国際観光ビジネス学科のハワイ海外研修では、地元のグローバル企業でのインターンシップを実施しています。学生より、日本への販売展開も行っているハワイの子供服メーカーでの、就業体験の報告が届きました。

I have been working at Coradorables as an intern since the end of March. This company produces clothes. They are especially for children and Hawaiian products. The owner of this company is Cora Spearman-Chang. She is also our supervisor. She is passionate, kind, and creative. She produces all the company's products. Also, her works were used by VOGUE which is a very famous fashion magazine in the world. Our main duties are to post on Social Network Services (SNS), to take pictures for posting, translate to Japanese from English for the website, to attach products tags and to illustrate pictures. My hobby is drawing pictures like fashion and ladies' illustrations. I posted those on my Instagram before. Cora looked at those, and she asked me to draw pictures for her company's clothes. I didn't think my hobby was useful for anyone. Also, I could have confidence. I realized that I could not expect what, when, where, how it is useful. This company is going to sell its products in Japan. Therefore, they need to translate into Japanese from English for their website, and tags which are attached to clothes and so on. So, we did them. When I saw completed tags, I was really happy and moved because I could see our tasks as physical things with my own eyes. I discovered a sense of accomplishment and joyfulness through my tasks. This internship is an invaluable experience for my life without doubt. I am really sure of that.
