4月11日、本学科2年生がHIBISCUSプログラムをスタートしてから、1ヵ月半が経ちました。　ハワイの生活にも慣れ、大学の授業だけでなく、現地企業でのインターンシップや企業訪問・ボランティアにも積極的に参加しているようです。

At East Coast

The other day, I took the WAIKIKI TROLLEY to train for Internship. The Waikiki trolley has 5 lines, and we can have a really good experience using it when touring. When I took the Blue Line, I went to the east coast of Oahu. This tour goes to Hanauma Bay, Halona Blowhole, Sandy Beach, etc. Hawaiian Oceans are very beautiful. Hanauma Bay is a little bit far from Waikiki and Ala Moana, but it is a one of the most beautiful oceans here in Oahu. There are many people who snorkel in the sea. I want to do it someday.
The colors of the Hawaiian ocean are made up of clear, blue hues, so you can see coral, fishes and sea turtles. Halona beach cove, which is near the Halona blowhole, looks like a secret beach, but there are big waves, so we couldn't go near them. When I was riding the trolley, a man talked to us. He told us many things about Hawaii and he talked to us in English (Sometimes in Japanese) during the tour. We talked about our favorite Hawaiian places, foods, experiences, and so on. I was happy to talk with local people in English. When we finished the tour, he said "Have a nice Hawaiian life." I think Hawaiian people are friendly and kind like him. Therefore, I want to be a person who is kind and friendly just like Hawaiian people.
