My Host Family

Today, I will introduce about my host family. First, I live in Hawaii Kai with Akari now. This area is wonderful as it 's surrounded by a lot of green, is very safe and quiet. I always feel this is like "my second hometown." My host mother is a hula dancer. She can do the Polynesian dance also. She sometimes teaches me these dances. I've been doing the hula for a long time, so I think it's really good for me. And she is also a good cook. Her meals are always awesome. Unfortunately, both of us is not good at cooking, we'll get the lecture of cooking from her before we leave. Around the house, there are many accessories made by her. It's her hobby and almost like a job. My host father is a doctor. He is a vegetarian, so our host mother always makes healthy vegetarian food for my host father. His hobby is paddling canoe and kayak and his ability is great. He always works out to build a muscle for health. Very "Healthism." Also, there is another woman, she is our host mother's sister and also a dancer. She always looks very beautiful. She'll be a CA soon, so it means that she'll leave this house...
Everyone in this house are very, very kind to us, they definitely have a big heart as the ocean. They encourage us to use English at home. So every day we spend a wonderful Hawaiian life here. I'm really looking forward to what will happen next!

My host family is an older lady who is my host mother and her dog Turner. Her name is Audrey Young. She is very kind and always a quiet person. Turner is very friendly and clever. When we call him, he comes right away. They trust each other and have a good relationship.
It has been five days since I came to this house, I feel very comfortable. I relax very much in my room. My mother's dishes are so delicious! She makes spaghetti, miso soup and so on. I am always looking forward to dinner. The tastes of her dishes are close to Japanese food.
My birthday is February 26th. I was forgetting my birthday. When I said to my mother "My 19th birthday is tomorrow," she was very surprised. Then, she made me some chocolate cupcakes. Night of the day, She celebrated my birthday. I was so happy and almost cried tears of happiness. Also, the cupcakes were so yummy. I loved it!
My life of Hawaii has just begun, and I want to enjoy everything. I want to make a lot of memories in Hawaii.
