ハワイ大学が管理する樹木園「Lyon Arboretum（ライアン樹木園）」の整備に参加したHIBISCUS参加学生からのレポートが届きました。生い茂る植物や傾斜の強い坂での作業は大変だったようですが、ハワイの自然に触れる良い機会だったようです。

Today, I participated in a volunteer activity at the Lyon Arboretum. This volunteer activity was to do maintenance at the mountain near UH. Manoa Arboretum was established in 1918 by the Hawaiian Sugar Planter`s Association. I did volunteer activity in a mountain. The way before getting there was very steep. There were a lot of plants which I had never seen in Japan. I was most surprised at such things like there was a big tree which 15 people can get on together. I felt that nature is overflowing here. It was a normal volunteer activity, but I thought that it is very good to feel Hawaii's nature.
