前回のNEWS①（児童教育学科、学部・大学院5年一貫コース「英語教育実践」を選択した学生の4年次後期・米国カリフォルニア大学デイヴィス校5ヵ月間留学）の続報です。

カリフォルニア大学デイビス校（UC Davis）には月曜日～金曜日の週5日で通っており、毎日9時から始まって13時に終わります。1日4コマ、1コマ50分4教科を毎日同じ時間割で受けています。私のクラスには、同じ安田女子大学の英語英米文学科の2年生だけでなく、他の日本の大学生、カザフスタン、イエメンからの留学生もいます。クラスメートはみんな積極的にコミュニケーションを図ってくれるので、もっと自分も話せるようになりたいと刺激をもらう日々です。

We usually go to UC Davis on weekdays. We have classes from 9 am to 1 pm every day. In my class, there are students not only from the same country as me but also from Kazakhstan and Yemen. All of my classmates actively participate in discussions, so it makes me want to speak more and more.

私のクラスメイトです。明るく楽しいクラスです。

他にも、放課後にconversation clubといったゲームをしながらコミュニケーションをとるクラブやキャンパスツアーなど、放課後アクティビティに参加して、楽しみながらいろいろな人たちと交流を深めたり、図書館で勉強したり、スポーツジムで体を動かしたりと充実したキャンパスライフを送っています。（増岡由真，Davis）

We can also take part in various after-school activities, such as the conversation club, and campus tours. While enjoying these activities, we have the opportunity to connect with many people, study in the library, and exercise at the ARC, the school gym. This allows us to get a fulfilling campus experience.
