2019-2020 STAYS便り(バンクーバー⑩)
2020.02.13
(This artwork is called "The Raven and the First Men." It is at the Museum of Anthropology at UBC. I went there by bus from the building where we took classes.)
My enjoyable study abroad program has come to an end. I can't believe that five months have already passed. I experienced many valuable things that I would never have experienced in Japan. For example, my host family took me to my host mother's sister's house and invited me to her birthday party. In Japan, I don't have many chances to meet my relatives because of personal circumstances, so I enjoyed talking with her relatives in English. I learned many things from this studying abroad experience. I realized I was helped by many people like my parents, host family and teachers during STAYS. Trying to express what I want to say in class made me confident. I would like to make full use of my experiences in the future.
This picture was taken in a seafood restaurant on Robson Street. You can eat fresh shellfish like lobster and crab here.
Lastly, I visted Granville Island, which is one of the most popular sightseeing spots in Vancouver. There was a public market and many kinds of vegetables, fruits and food.
