2017年2月4日(土)
My host family is very friendly and kind. They have two dogs, two birds and a horse. Dogs are very cute. I want to ride a horse as soon as possible.
My room is very large and beautiful. I am very happy. The garden is also very large and there is a trampoline.
My host family has two girls. But I have not seen them yet. Because they have been going out. I am looking forward to seeing them. I have been played volleyball since 10 years old. Since I hear that one of the girls can play volleyball, I want to do it with her soon.
Today I went shopping in the town of Toowoomba. There I bought a watch, a lip gloss and a hand cream. Since I did not know how to pay on cash, my host family taught me.
It was very easy. So, at the next time I shopped for myself.
We went for a walk after I got up. I only heard birds were singing and dogs were barking. I felt it was very peaceful. While I was walking I saw a lot of cows and birds. I could see Australian birds. The birds were small and fat. I understood it was a very quiet and nice town.
I am looking forward to going shopping tomorrow as well.
I want to talk a lot to my host family and have a good experience.

2017年2月5日(日)
今日はホストファミリーにサンシャインコーストへ連れていってもらいました。トゥーンバからサンシャインコーストまでは片道3時間半かかりましたが、ドライブ中も英語でたくさん会話していたので楽しい時間でした。
景色も良く、海の水は透明でとてもきれいでした。波が大きくて楽しく泳げました。
泳いだ後は、ペダルボードに初めて乗りました。ペダルボードとはサーフィンボードのようなボードの上に立ち、長いペダルを漕いで海の上を進むアクティビティです。最初はボードの上に立つのが難しくて何度も海に落ちましたが、慣れてくると遠くまで進んだり、寝転んだりできて、とても楽しめました。
そして、帰り道にサンセットを眺めました。大きな木の下でみんなできれいな夕日を見ていると、とても心が落ち着きました。今日も素敵な一日を過ごすことができました。（撮影:Sue）



2017年2月6日(月)
ついにUSQでのキャンパスライフが始まりました！
授業は9時からですが、本日は初日ということもありスタッフの方に大学内の案内をしていただきました。USQのスタッフはとても親切で、日本人の方もいるので(ただし日本語は一切使ってくれませんが...)、安心してキャンパスライフを送ることが出来そうです。
大学内にはおしゃれなカフェテリアや、図書館、スポーツジムなどもあります。Toowoombaはとても暑いですが、室内は冷房が効いているのでとても快適で過ごしやすい環境です。
今日の夜はホストマザーのDebbieと夕日を見たあと散歩をする予定です。日本でいう盆地の地形であるToowoombaですが、私のステイ先はその端にあり高度があるので、夜景や星がとても綺麗に見えます。この景色はオーストラリアでしか見ることが出来ないので、しっかり記憶に焼き付けたいと思います。



2017年2月7日(火)
私は大学から歩いて10分のところにホームステイ先があるので毎朝歩いて登校します。朝は昼と違って日差しがあまり強くなく涼しく散歩にちょうど良い気温です。
今日、学校ではジャパニーズガーデンに行きました。赤い橋や紅葉、マツ、滝などが見られました。午後はオージーEnglishを学習しました。元の単語から想像することが難しいものもありましたが、マクドナルドはやっぱりマックでした。ホストファミリーとの会話に使ってみたいと思います。
帰りにポストカードを買い、マザーに文章を確認してもらいながら書きました。
アジアンフードのスーパーに連れて行ってもらいました。この土曜日に肉じゃがを作りたいと思います。夕飯はミートの上にペースト状のポテトを乗せて焼いたもので、ポテトがカリカリしていていい具合に美味しく味がマッチしていました。ファザーの料理は毎回とてもおいしいものばかりです。夕飯の後は宿題を手伝ってもらい、家がたくさん出てくる番組を見てリラックスしました。

2017年2月8日(水)
I got up at 7 o 'clock today. It was fine but wind was blowing so it was cool. The breakfast of this morning was cereal.
Today I was given a question by Emma about Queensland University and was asked to actually check it. I was actually nervous to ask the questions to the people in the area. But everyone was kind.
I talked to a foreigner who can speak Japanese at noon. I learned that it was important to speak to him a lot.
I also talked I was very surprised at the difference between Australian school and Japanese school. Besides, we talked about various topics. For example, we talked that the bus driver didn't tell us where we should get off the bus, that the houses were almost detached in this country, and that most family kept a lot of pets.
I was very happy, because my hope to talk with some Australians came true.




After the lesson was over, I went home. I got off the bus and watched the scenery.
I played a dance game with my host family brother after I came home.
After that I wrote a diary.
Then I took a bath. I got used to having a short bath time.

I am in Australia and having many experiences.
I can hear and understand English conversation gradually.
