On February 18th, the 16th English Speech Contest was held in the new school auditorium. It was the first live speech contest in three years. 

The junior high school students did recitations, skits, and speeches. We were impressed by the first graders’ ability to perform as each character in the story and memorize their lines. The second grade students all performed unique skits using various props and gestures, and everyone was excited to watch. The third graders told us about their interests confidently on the stage. Their continuous hard work in English class showed in their performances. Our English Club students also did a quiz game at the end that everyone enjoyed. 

We ended the contest by listening to this year's theme song, ‘Try Everything’, from Zootopia. We hope our students will continue to challenge themselves and enjoy studying English.
