4月14日、ハワイに留学中の本学科2年生より届いた、HIBISCUSレポートをご紹介いたします。海外留学での大変さを感じながらも、素晴らしい思い出を作れるよう前向きに過ごしているようです。

The Honolulu Festival

I went to an event called the Honolulu Festival in March. This event was held in Waikiki. There were parades such as dances, so a lot of people gathered there. And at night, there was a firework, display on Waikiki Beach. I thought there would be more people, so I was waiting for the launch of the fireworks for about two hours. When the time got closer, more people than I expected gathered there and the beach become crowded soon. Some people couldn't get to the beach and were looking at the fireworks away from the beach area. I recommend that you go early so you can find a good place to see the fireworks. The fireworks were very big and really beautiful. This was the best firework display that I had ever seen. In Japan, I can't see fireworks now because it is not the firework season yet. So I realized again that I am truly in Hawaii.
Studying abroad is a little harder than I expected. But I was made to realize that I can make a lot of wonderful memories during my stay in Hawaii. I decided to make my life in Hawaii meaningful. My study abroad has just begun so I will do my best.
