About one week has passed since I came to Hawaii. I'm staying with a host family in Hawaii Kai. This place is a very safe and quiet residential area located in the East Honolulu. However, it's quite far from the campus. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes by bus. It's very hard for me to get up in the early morning, so I hope I will get used to this life soon. My host mother is Nina. She cooks very well, and everything she makes is very delicious! To my surprise, she makes Japanese food too. I felt happy when I ate her Japanese food at first time.
She has two daughters and a son but I haven't met them yet. I hope I have a chance to meet them before I leave Hawaii. I'm not good at speaking and listening English. However, my host mother Nina is kind enough to listen to me carefully. So, I can talk to Nina without fear.
