ハワイでの海外研修をスタートして1週間が経ちました。留学中の学生から、大学での授業についてのレポートが届きましたのでご紹介いたします。

Our classes are starting on April 11. We had a guidance on the next day when we arrived in Hawaii. (April 8) They start at 10 a.m. and each class has about 20 people and they are not only for Yasuda students but also for other university students. They are from Korea or other prefectures in Japan. We have three classes every day, but on Wednesday we have one more class added to the normal classes. We usually finish class at 12:20 so that we can do assignment or stroll on UH campus. We have same classes every day: Listening & Speaking, International Business, Service Learning Seminar, and MT. We never forget the textbooks (haha). The buildings we use are "Moore Hall" and "Business Administration". We have to walk about 10 minutes between two buildings, so we have to move quickly (but not need to run though...!) There is a 15 minutes break and we enjoy chatting or looking around the campus. HELP office is located on the 5th floor in Moore Hall, where there is HELP student lounge on the first floor. We can sign up the list to participate in some events at this lounge.
I have a vocabulary journal assignment to write words in the center and create four elements: definition, synonyms, antonym, and sentence. In addition, we have to read articles which our teacher paste on the notice board in the classroom and answer the questions. I stay in Kailua so I get up at 5 a.m. in the morning to go to uni, therefore, I must go to bed around 10 p.m. I need about two hours on the both ways from home to uni by bus, so I always make good use of this spare time to improve my English. In class we do group work, exchange opinions and get some ideas for my assignment while reading a textbook, pronunciation practice, and presentation. The HELP teachers are so kind that we can ask any question and they suggest a lot on the matters.
