At the start of summer vacation, we held our annual "English Summer Day Camp" for grade 4s.

Students were divided into 4 teams: Team Hot, Team Wave, Team Watermelon and Team Snow-cone. For 2 days, the kids pretended to travel around the world and had their passports checked at each new country.

They were able to practice natural English through many activities at the camp including a role-play where they visited restaurants from different countries, a video call where they talked with two young Americans in Indiana, active English games in the arena, and many other fun group activities. The cafeteria also prepared delicious Korean and American lunches for us. At the end of day 2 we came together to say our final goodbyes and eat ice-cream. Everyone seemed to have a great time!

夏休みの始めに、毎年恒例の小学4年生対象「English Summer Day Camp」を開催しました。

子どもたちは Team Hot、Team Wave、Team Watermelon、Team Snow-cone の4つのチームに分かれ、2日間にわたって世界を旅するという設定で活動しました。それぞれの国に到着するたびに、パスポートチェックを受けながら次の国へと進みました。

キャンプでは、さまざまな活動を通して自然な英語を楽しく練習しました。世界各国のレストランを訪れるロールプレイや、アメリカ・インディアナ州に住む2人の若者とのビデオ通話、アリーナでの体を動かす英語ゲームなど、グループで協力しながら楽しめる活動が盛りだくさんでした。

また、食堂では韓国料理とアメリカ料理のおいしいランチを用意していただきました。

2日目の最後には、みんなで集まって最後のあいさつをし、アイスクリームを食べてキャンプを締めくくりました。子どもたちは終始笑顔で、とても楽しい2日間となりました。
