Last week, our Grade 5 students participated in Global English Camp (GEC), a three-day experience where students used English, explored different cultures, and connected with people from around the world. The four goals of GEC were "Have a Global Mind," "Be Independent," "Cooperate with Others," and "Show Thanks." Throughout the camp, students challenged themselves to communicate in English, work together with their classmates, and appreciate the people and experiences around them. During the first two days at Mominoki Shinrin Park, students enjoyed a variety of activities such as games, outdoor activities, and cultural learning. They learned the importance of teamwork, taking on challenges, and showing gratitude toward their friends, teachers, and the park staff. On the final day back at school, students joined Culture Sessions and learned about different countries and cultures from around the world. They asked questions, discovered similarities and differences between cultures, and deepened their understanding of the world. GEC was not only an opportunity to practice English but also a chance for students to think about their own culture, respect other cultures, and connect with the world. It was a meaningful three days filled with learning, friendship, challenges, and many wonderful memories.

GECの4つの目標は、「Have a Global Mind(グローバルマインド)」「Be Independent(自主)」「Cooperate with Others(協力)」「Show Thanks(感謝)」 です。
