Last week Grade 5 students went on an overnight camp called Global English Camp. Days 1 and 2 were at Tsuneishi Shimanami Village in Fukuyama and day 3 was back at school. The 4 goals of the camp were "Have a Global Mind - グローバルマインド", "Be Independent - 自主", "Co-operate with Others - 協力" and "Give Thanks - 感謝". The grade 5 students learned many things and used a lot of English over the 3-day camp.

Students enjoyed many activities such as movie making, making s'mores over a fire, and the American sports; "Ultimate Frisbee" and "Steal the bacon". On day 3, they went to culture sessions where they learned about 2 foreign cultures. Finally we all got together for "Showtime", where we ate popcorn and enjoyed watching all the students' excellent movies. It was 3 days full of learning while having fun, global thinking and English.
