In May, all Department of English first-year students joined an eventful and enjoyable three-day orientation seminar at the National Sanbe Youth Friendship Center in Shimane Prefecture. The seminar was organized and run by second- and third-year students. Teachers and staff showed their support, joining students in a variety of events.

On the second day, group members helped one another build a camp fire. Each group cooked curry on the fire. Even the rain couldn't dampen their spirits.
